Süddeutsche Zeitung: The damage patients may suffer after corona disease

In an interview with the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Michael Pfeifer, President of the German Society for Pneumology and Respiratory Medicine, says that some patients who had to be hospitalised because of COVID-19 still had limited lung function weeks after no virus was detectable in their blood. It is not yet known whether the condition will heal or whether the damage will be permanent.
