Roundtable on Long COVID in Rhineland-Palatinate
In Rhineland-Palatinate, health experts met for a round table to discuss how people suffering from Long COVID can be better supported in a systematic way. By the summer of 2023, there should be a pilot structure as well as five anchor centres in order to be able to provide those affected with appropriate services more quickly.
SWR
SWR is the state broadcasting corporation of the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. Its programme is intended to inform, educate, advise and entertain the citizens of these states, and specifically to offer input on culture. SWR was formed in 1998 as a merger of Süddeutscher Rundfunk and Südwestfunk.
Federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate
The federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate was created in 1946 by uniting parts of Prussia - the south of the Rhine Province and the west of Hesse-Nassau - with the Bavarian administrative district of Palatinate and Rhine-Hesse. With around 4.1 million inhabitants, Rhineland-Palatinate ranks sixth among Germany's federal states in terms of the number of its inhabitants and ninth in terms of its area. With just under 220,000 inhabitants, the state capital Mainz is also the most populous city in the state. Other major centres are the regions around Ludwigshafen, Koblenz, Trier and Kaiserslautern.
