German Sports Association for the Disabled (DBS)

The German Sports Association for the Disabled (DBS) is the umbrella organisation within the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) for competitive, recreational, preventive and rehabilitation sports for people with disabilities and the National Paralympic Committee for Germany. With its 17 regional and two specialist associations, almost 6,300 clubs and around 510,000 members, the DBS is one of the world's largest sports associations for people with disabilities. The sports within the federation are organised in departments or specialist areas. The federal office is located in Frechen near Cologne.
