The self-help group Long COVID Germany has opened a Twitter channel to actively promote research, education and Long COVID care services on the social network.

The Long COVID Deutschland Initiative is a nationwide association of affected persons and relatives with diverse professional and specialist backgrounds. Among them are also doctors and nursing staff who are affected by Long COVID themselves. The members demand better medical care, more funding for clinical research and the development of biomedical therapies. Since May 2020, the team has also been running the support group Long COVID Germany on Facebook.
