Hannover Medical School to support general practitioners with virtual clinic in future
From September 2023, Hannover Medical School (MHH) wants to help GPs in Lower Saxony to treat people affected by Long-COVID. For this purpose, a virtual rehabilitation clinic is to be set up, which will pool scientific findings and practical treatment knowledge into Long COVID. This telemedical offer includes, among other things, professional consultations and further training for practitioners. GPs can present their patients to the specialists at the MHH through interdisciplinary video consultations. GPs must register with the virtual clinic via the MHH in order to participate. The project is implemented by the Klinik für Rehabilitations- und Sportmedizin and the Institut für Allgemeinmedizin und Palliativmedizin and in cooperation with the Hausärzteverband Niedersachsen.
