Guideline for the treatment of Long-COVID patients published
The guideline of the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany (AWMF) is dedicated to the treatment of patients with Long COVID. (AWMF) is geared towards professionals treating patients with Long COVID. It provides information about the symptoms of the disease and conveys know-how for an appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. The contents of the guideline are continuously updated with the growing state of knowledge.
Association of the Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF)
The German Association of the Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF) is the German association for the treatment of COVID. (AWMF) is the German umbrella organisation comprising 182 medical societies. Since 1995, the AWMF has been in charge of coordinating the development of medical guidelines for diagnostics and therapy among the individual scientific medical societies. The association represents these guidelines vis-à-vis the institutions concerned with them, especially in the political arena.
