Charité launches clinical trial on Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ME/CFS

A National Clinical Study Group (NKSG) is being established at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin to conduct the first clinical trials with drugs for the treatment of Long COVID and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with about ten million euros.

National Clinical Study Group (NKSG)

The National Clinical Study Group (NKSG) is an interdisciplinary network of physicians and scientists with the aim of developing translational research and therapy studies for the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long COVID. The studies will be conducted at the Experimental and Clinical Research Center (ECRC), a joint facility of Charité and the Max Delbrück Center, and at the Department of Neurology with Experimental Neurology at Charité.
